My First Game - By hZ KittyPuff

I remember my first game like it was yesterday.

It was November 1st, 1998, and for my birthday, I had received a Warcraft-like game for my birthday. So off to the computer I rushed, and I fired up the game. I was impressed with the intro, to say the least. I clicked the "New game" button, and I left the settings at default.

I was bewildered. It was amazing, all the action. 3 villagers standing around a building made out of bones. Less than amazing, I though. Then I started moving around, trying to figure out how to move my man without having him cut down a tree. I gathered like 50 wood, and built a house. I made another villager, and finally managed enough wood for barracks, where I created a clubman.

Off into the wild blue yonder I sauntered, when all of a sudden I came across this tall building! It was shooting at me! Amazing! My clubber was dead within a few hits. And then I heard a siren, and returned to my town to see 4 dead bodies! My villagers! And there were these chariot archer things, killing my barracks! I had no food, wood, or gold, and only minimal stone.

And so the search for the quit game button began... But that's a whole 'other story.

If anyone else would like to submit a story about there first game, a tale from when they were but a newbie, I'd be eternally grateful if you submitted it, either by e-mail, ICQ #: 34042123, or by the form on the feedback page. Thanks!
