Another Influential Ager, Ogre!

That's right, I've just completed an interview with Ogre, the webmaster over at Ogre's AoK Network. He's got a real knack for design, and he's got plenty of content too. The interview is here, and you can find other Influential Ager's here.

Prize Find!An example

I've found a bunch of screenshots from early version of the game recently, due to the help of Agamemnon. More interesting finds include a lost title screen (Alpha) and a screenshot of the scenario editor. I've assembled this neato find here.

Site update

I've organized the Old News section so now all the news isn't just on one page, but separated into month's. I've also updated the Site Map to include all the recent additions to the site..

ES has another article in their honor!

That's right, this time it's about there use of 3D Studio Max in the creation of the Age games. Find the article here.

New Section

Today I've opened an articles section. It doesn't have much in it yet, but I promise I'll add stuff to it. On a slightly unrelated note, the new site design is coming along nicely, and I'll have it online soon.

Great Article

There's an article here, with Matt Prichard, a member of ES. He talks about problems they encountered while developing AoK. I knew that ES created 3D models and then converted them to 2D images, but I didn't know how many polygons they used. The mameluke had over 20 000!

Been a while but...

I've got some cool stuff for you. Two more influential Agers, Maiming_Matty, and Joseph Knight. Maiming Matty is almost undisputedly the best player of AoE, RoR, or AoK. Joseph Knight created SLP Studio, the program that let's people extract AoE, RoR, and AoK datafiles.I've updated a couple of other sections as well.

New maps, including real world maps.

5 new civs

Unique technologies, a special technology for all the current civs, and the new ones.

More technologies, that all civs can research.

TTC fix, and bug fixes in the editor.

Smart villagers, If you select 2 villagers, and tell them to build a wall, they'll start at each end and work there way in. If you select more vills, they'll space themselves evenly along the wall.

Battering ram garrisoning: you can garrison foot soldiers inside a battering ram, increasing it's speed and protecting your soldiers.
